Various Belt Bags, Pouches and Tarsoly [pronounced ’tar-shoy] were worn by the Scandinavian Vikings.
An influence that had moved westwards from the Magyar, Khazar and other nomadic Tribes.
The Belt Bags are hung by a strap or straps from the Belt and ornamented with Plaques, Plates or Mounts.
The strap often served as a closing and locking fixture.
